A local quilt shop, L & L Yard Goods in Madison, does a First Saturday Sampler each year. The first meeting was on Saturday where we received our first block and finishing kits. I couldn’t wait to get home and do my block. The fabrics are gorgeous!
I am ready for next month!

My LQS does the same program, but I must say, your fabrics ARE gorgeous. Wish I could say the same about ours! And we are using templates - I've never used templates before and am finding it difficult to cut little bitty triangles to the right size without getting the fingertips in the way.
I just don't see what's wrong with the easy way to make flying geese & HST's....but they have me doing the darndest things. ??? And last week they told us that the fabric for the inside 6 blocks, setting triangles and borders will be an additional NINETY dollars!! NINETY dollars MORE. And that doesn't include the backing. Arrgh. I probably wouldn't have signed up for it all, had I known in advance. But, if I liked the fabric, it sure would make the issues more tolerable!
Your block looks great! I have a feeling this is going to be a lovely quilt when it's done! :0)
I did a similar quilt a couple of years ago - made all the blocks but never got them put together into a top. I found it this week and got it out. Maybe this is the year I'll get that done! blessings, marlene
