Quilting Queen and other things!

I have been busy lately!  Unfortunately not getting much in the way of sewing accomplished.  Nancy, the winner of the April giveaway, I finally got to the post office today.  Your package should arrive in the next few days.

I did get block #4 done for the Moose On The Porch Jelly Roll Sampler quilt.  I think it turned out really well.  Now the block #5 has been posted so I need to get it done.  I am trying really hard to stay on top of this project.

A few saturdays ago, some friends joined me in a day of quilty fun!  Ellen H. (sometimes referred to as Classic or Apple) and Ellen S.  (sometimes referred to as Zero or Lime), joined my Mom and I here in Deputy.  We managed to make a trip over to a little quilt shop a few miles from here.  New Frankfort Merchantile has some nice fabrics at a great price.  I didn't spend too much $$$ but i did get quite a bit to add to my stash.

Ellen Classic was wonderful as usual and brought a nice little giftie for us.  Isn't the bag just soooo pretty!  Love her choice of colors!  Thanks Ellen Classic for everything!  Your a special friend!  Hope to see you soon!

Ellen (Classic) also brought a gift to me from her sister Shannon.  Shannon lives down south in the land of cotton where old times there are not forgotten!  lol  Shannon lives in the wonderful state of Georgia.  Shannon sure is a sweetie and was so sweet to send me these by way of a classic ride!  lol

Don't you just love this little sign she sent!  Ellen (Zero) added the little decoration to it.  Looks nice with the Boyd's bears and dust bunnies!  lol

Don't you just love these kleenex holders!

Now, what is this!!!  It is a miniature bale of cotton!  There is really cotton in that little bail!  How cool is that?

While the Ellen's were visiting we decorated up some pins!  Special pins to use for a special project!   I know we do wierd things!  lol

I also managed to grab a photo of my daughter coming in one night!  I hadn't seen her for several days so it was a shock that she got home before I went to bed.  I grabbed the camera and took a quick photo so I would remember what she looked like the next time she didn't come home for days!  Notice the cell phone attached to her hand.  I don't think she is capable of elbow movement any longer.  It seems like no matter when you catch her she  is in the same position!

Last but not least, I need to thank Bonnie over at Nanbon's Corner for the prize I recently won over on her blog giveaway.  Thanks Bonnie!

Well that is it for today!  Hope you are having a great day!

Rhonda
