Retreats are wonderful!!!

I spent a wonderful 4 days at the North Webster Retreat last weekend. I had such a great time I plan to go again next year. I made some great new friends, ate so much food, and completed a few piecing projects. Judy DeWald was a awesome teacher for the Needle Turned Applique class. I am ready to dive head first in to some applique now.

The photo to the left is the Mystery quilt a lot of us participated in. Disregard the glare spot on the quilt. Once I add some borders I think it will turn out great.

The photo to the right is a Round Robin that I finally got all the blocks sewed together. I added a 2" black border to the blocks. I plan to add another border of spikes to this wall quilt.
The blocks were made by members of the the Quilt Mavens yahoo group. There were 7 of us in this Round Robin. Each person made one 12" and two 6" blocks. The blocks weren't sewed together until they came home. Thanks go out to Liz, Janet, Mary, Stevie, Kathie and Becky for their contributions to my quilt.

Our quilt retreat is one of my very favorite times ever. I'm also working on a mystery quilt - aren't they fun!
