You Should Never Assume!

If you are looking for the Fall Into Fall Giveaway, you can find it here.  I really appreciate all the awesome comments!  Thank you to all of those that have participated in the blog hop.

I needed to go to Jeffersonville today to take some tile down to a friend of mine, so I decided to get a few other things while in the big city!  Jill was off work too so I asked if she wanted to go with me.  Of course she did!  She wanted to get a few things at Kohl's.
So we leave about 11 this morning and as soon as Jill gets in the car she wants to know if this trip includes food.  The kid only weights about 100 pounds but she sure can eat!  So during the hour drive I suggested that we eat at Our Best Restaurant.  They have pretty good food and I was really in the mood for one of their Chef Salads.
Our first stop was at Kohl's.  I needed to get a couple of pair of Dockers for my work attire.  The pairs I have I have used for a little over a year and a half and they are really showing some wear.  Nothing major just around the edges, if you know what I mean.  But really, when you are cleaning up poop does it really matter!  lol
So we went our separate ways in Kohl's for each of us to do our shopping.  Jill is 20 years old and can choose her own purchases.  While I was trying on pants in the fitting room, my cell phone rings and she wants to know where I am.  Seems she has found was she was looking for.  We strolled around the store for a while looking at the home dec. things mainly but no other purchases except a Dr. Suess book and stuffed animal for a Christmas gift.  We get to the check out and I told her she could pay for her things first.  And what does she say, "I don't have any money!".  Hence, the title of this post.  So she got me out of 2 pairs of khaki pants and 3 tops.
So we went to Our Best from there and she didn't hesitate in ordering enough to feed an army.  I am happy to report that when we went to Meijers, she didn't put one thing in the cart.
So never assume your adult child plans to pay for their purchases while shopping!

On the quilting front, I have started making the 24 more blocks for the Log Cabin Quilt.  The comments were mostly in favor of adding a row to each side.  Which I think will be better.  I started thinking about who I thought I would give the quilt to, and adding the extra rows would be best.

I did pick up some awesome chocolate today!  Just a little container of Godiva Dark Chocolate Pearls!  Yummy!!!

See ya tomorrow!

My daughter did that until she got a job that paid more than mine did. She just went back to school for her doctorate and here we go again, now she says "I can't really afford it", so of course I pay.
